WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO??

Hurricane Rita caused widespread damage to Texas and Louisiana on September 24, 2005, causing extensive damage around Beaumont, Orange, and Port Arthur, TX. St Andrew's Presbyterian Church has become a focal member of the Southeast Texas Recovery effort. Our Mission is to replace the roofs over the less fortunate identified by UMCOR and possibly some other necessary repairs. Those in the Austin area will meet at the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church Parking Lot at 8:00 A.M. Thursday, April 6, 2006, so we can caravan to the work site. Its about a 6 hour drive. If you cannot come Thursday, come Friday and/or Saturday returning Sunday.

Where will we be working?

The projects will be in Beaumont. We may also replace sheetrock where needed.

For those coming in Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, please meet at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 1350 Twenty-third Street, Beaumont, TX 77706 - Office Phone #409-892-8611. We will meet there each morning at 7:30 A.M. to start the day. Those of us on the advance party will survey the work to be done and make sure all materials are in place for the arrival of the main groups.

We will finish up on Sunday the 9th and return to our home Churches after Church Services at St. Andrew's.

Please Leave your Home Church in time to arrive at the Church by 7:30 AM April 7, 2006 and each morning thereafter - we will have long days ahead of us!
