Hands of Hope Interfaith

We need Volunteers (No experience necessary - all Sr. High's and Adults welcome) and DONATIONS of Materials and/or Money to buy supplies for home repairs.

BTW, The Project sure could use a donated Computer - see Melanies request for funds below!

We will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 302 2. Allen, Falfurrias, Texas parking lot at NOON November 2nd. Those of us on the advance party will survey the work to be done and make sure all materials are in place for the arrival of the main groups on November 3 and 4th.

Those coming Friday, November 3rd and 4th will meet us in the parking lot of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall which is located 2 blocks west of Hwy 281 on Blucher St. across from Sacred Heart Church and between the cross streets Caldwell and Terrell. We will finish up on Sunday the 5th and return to our home Churches.

Please Leave your Home Church in time to arrive at the Church by either Noon the 2nd or 8AM the 3rd and/or the 4th. We will have a long day ahead of us!

If you have them, please bring ladders, air compressors and hoses, pitch forks, flat shovels, power saws, hammers, nail pullers,etc. You can also use the following checklist:

Where will we be working?

We will be working on a number of homes of the elderly. As the weeks progress, I will post more details.

 We will have the necessary supplies at the work sites.

Pastor Melanie Welsh has arranged with Sacred Heart Catholic Church for us to stay in their Parish Hall. Bring your sleeping bags please - Showers and bathrooms are available. When we were there in January 2000 some of us stayed at the following motels:
