We need Volunteers (No experience necessary - all Individuals, Sr. High's, Adults, and Faiths welcome)

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO??

Our mission is to Build 22 more Bunk Beds for The EFCA (Evangelical Free Church of America) Volunteer Center on Galveston Island to add to the 32 Beds we delivered in October 2008. Please plan on arriving at the worksite by 8:00 AM. We will have a long day ahead of us!

Where will we be working?

We will be working at 3998 Hwy 290 East out of a 2 bay warehouse Between Nutty Brown Road and Dripping Springs. The warehouse sits behind a 1 story building with a sign out front with ALLSTATE on it. You go west just beyone the traffic light at US 290 and Sunset Canyon and enter the driveway on the south side between the AllSTATE Office and Brake Specialist. Maps below.

A group from Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church - Austin SHPC lead by Steve Pearson and Greg Merrell

GEAR TO BRING

Bring your Woolies - its going to be cold in the Mornings! Ooops - Wrong Trip!!
Gear - Mainly we will be glueing and then using #2 phillips head drill to put the beds together. The big list is for trips out of town - click here for a list of helpful Gear

Bring what you can, mainly a battery operated power drill, gloves, googles, dust mask, and power saws in case we have to do some cutting. Put your name on your things. We will have a generator, water, ice, and a first aid kit.

DONATIONS PERMITTING
We will have the necessary supplies at the work sites.

Please let me know if you can donate any supplies as soon as possible!
