Hondo Tornado Disaster Response!

Projects!

Our Mission is to Assist the City of Hondo and needy Citizens in clean-up from the Tornado that struck the City October 12, 2001. We will be hosted by Reverend Bill Nogues, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Hondo.

We will meet at SHPC at 7:30 Saturday Morning to Caravan to The First United Methodist Church of Hondo at Avenue K and 16th Streets, Hondo, arriving at approximately 9:30 A.M..

We need Volunteers (No experience necessary - all Sr. High's and Adults welcome).

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO??

Tornado Cleanup, Tree Trimming, and whatever else is needed.

Bring Chain saws, gloves, eye and head protective gear, empty trailers to haul off debris, etc.

Austin Area Churches Meet at Shepherd of The Hills Presbyterian parking lot at 7:30 AM October 20, 2001 and caravan to Hondo.

Other Churches can meet at their Church and procede to The First United Methodist Church 9:30 A.M. October 20th for assignments.

Hopefully, all materials will be in place for your arrival. We will be working in teams wherever we can be of service.

Where will we be working?

All over Hondo!!

Bring your own snacks. Meals local purchase.

LODGING

No plans to Stay overnight!
